Many people are unhappy, frustrated, and sometimes even depressed living a life in the matrix, but the same people also don’t want to change a thing.
Change is the only constant!
Only when you open your mind to change are you able to escape the Matrix for good?
What keeps us in the Matrix?
Diet: In order to escape the Matrix, you need to develop a positive mind, but you cannot do so when you are eating junk. Cut out processed foods like fast food, sweets, candy, chips, and sugary drinks. Stick to healthy, organic food as much as you can. Don’t overeat and have at least 2-3 days per week where you practice intermittent fasting (at least 14/10, ideally 16/8).
Move your body: Body movement is directly connected to your mood. Endorphins are released when you engage in physical activity, giving you feelings of well-being and even euphoria. Dance whenever you can, smile, and enjoy this fantastic vehicle that you have in this reality - the human body.
Read my article “7 Reasons Why You Should Dance Before Leaving The House” here.
Limit Alcohol intake to zero: Alcohol is technically part of your diet, but I wanted to give this its own bullet point because it is so disruptive. I don’t want to suggest that you cut down your alcohol consumption; I want to motivate you to quit it completely, no matter how much you drink.
Social drinkers are often the group that I worry about the most because alcohol is so tolerated in Western society. It makes us dumb and easy to control because it affects the balance of neurotransmitters in the brain, leading to slower brain functions and impaired cognitive abilities. It doesn’t matter how cool the Bacardi ad looks on TV; it is still poison for your body in higher doses.
The only time that you can ingest alcohol is as a healing tincture, and even then, you only need a drop (for example, chaga mushroom drops, etc.). I wish I could stop here, but alcohol also dehydrates your body and creates an electrolyte imbalance. It disrupts your sleep quality and affects your serotonin levels negatively. Alcohol contributes to a depressed mind and anxiety. It is just not worth it. You can dance like nobody is watching without alcohol. Here is an article about the spiritual side of alcohol. Everything is connected.Distractions are another big issue when it comes to escaping the Matrix. We all want out, but what do we do? We watch Netflix and Co for 2-3 hours every evening but tell ourselves that we don’t have time for a 15-minute meditation in the morning and evening. We get distracted the whole time.
We never put ourselves first. Many of us have never learned the art of saying no and setting boundaries, but this is essential for a happy life. When we start taking care of ourselves and take time to heal, this is when we start being able to see the Matrix around us. First, we need to go inside and heal the damage that was caused.
Saying no and boundaries are important pillars in this journey.
We cannot say goodbye to our expensive lifestyle, but for what? For materialistic things that we cannot take with us when we leave this reality behind us! What do we really need to be happy?
Reducing living costs is a main part of escaping the Matrix because like this you can imagine it much easier so that you can make it. Just think about it for one second. Let’s say your rent is $800 a week, and then you also party, eat in restaurants, go to the cinema, etc. So you might have total costs of about $2000 a week, easily. Sure, you need a well-paid full-time job to cover these expenses, and when you want to escape the Matrix, it is hard to believe that you can make this much money in a short time with your own business idea.
Building a business takes time and most start-ups only start making good money after about 2 years. If you are willing to cut down your costs to let’s say half, it will be much easier to imagine that you can make it. It is all about believing that you can. Think about what you really need.
What is enough for you?
Do you have an imbalance of chemicals in your brain? Be mindful about your guts and the chemicals that are active in your brain. Your diet, your movement - everything is connected.
When you feel depressed, you need to get out of this unhealthy mindset, and often, like in my case, some help is necessary to do this. I recently discovered NAD+ supplements for increased productivity and better gut health. It's quite incredible how they make me feel.My best teachers I found in plants and mushrooms. ***Disclaimer: This is not health advice. I am not a doctor. Please do your own research. Thanks.
In the end, you need to believe that you can, and you need to be willing to do everything in your power to get out of this mess—the rat race, the Matrix, whatever you want to call it.
Human nature desires a very different lifestyle than what society has programmed us to believe in.
Love yourself unconditionally. You are enough, and you can do whatever you want; you only need to believe it.
